Comparing JSON-XS/Changes (file contents):

Revision 1.34 by root, Mon Apr 9 06:37:40 2007 UTC

1Revision history for Perl extension JSON::XS 1Revision history for Perl extension JSON::XS
2 2
30.3 3TODO: maybe use some overload magic to decode true and false into something
4 not 0 or 1 in perl. or use attached magic?
5TODO: get rid of dynamic arrays to support so-called C compilers
6 by fucking microsoft that do not do C. argl, snprintf is also
7 missing.
8TODO: latin1 flag working similar to ascii.
9
10 - fixed typoe reported by YAMASHINA Hio.
11
121.11 Mon Apr 9 07:05:49 CEST 2007
13 - properly 0-terminate sv's returned by encode to help
14 C libraries that expect that 0 to be there.
15 - partially "port" JSON from C to microsofts fucking broken
16 pseudo-C. They should be burned to the ground for pissing
17 on standards. And I should be stoned for even trying to
18 support this filthy excuse for a c compiler.
19
201.1 Wed Apr 4 01:45:00 CEST 2007
21 - clarify documentation (pointed out by Quinn Weaver).
22 - decode_utf8 sometimes did not correctly flag errors,
23 leading to segfaults.
24 - further reduced default nesting depth to 512 due to the test
25 failure by that anonymous "chris" whose e-mail address seems
26 to be impossible to get. Tests on other freebsd systems indicate
27 that this is likely a problem in his/her configuration and not this
28 module.
29 - renamed json => JSON in error messages.
30 - corrected the character offset in some error messages.
31
321.01 Sat Mar 31 16:15:40 CEST 2007
33 - do not segfault when from_json/decode gets passed
34 a non-string object (reported by Florian Ragwitz).
35 This has no effect on normal operation.
36
371.0 Thu Mar 29 04:43:34 CEST 2007
38 - the long awaited (by me) 1.0 version.
39 - add \0 (JSON::XS::false) and \1 (JSON::XS::true) mappings to JSON
40 true and false.
41 - add some more notes to shrink, as suggested by Alex Efros.
42 - improve testsuite.
43 - halve the default nesting depth limit, to hopefully make it
44 work on Freebsd (unfortunately, the cpan tester did not
45 send me his report, so I cannot ask about the stack limit on fbsd).
46
470.8 Mon Mar 26 00:10:48 CEST 2007
48 - fix a memleak when decoding hashes.
49 - export jsonToBj and objToJson as aliases
50 to to_json and from_json, to reduce incompatibilities
51 between JSON/JSON::PC and JSON::XS. (experimental).
52 - implement a maximum nesting depth for both en- and de-coding.
53 - added a security considerations sections.
54
550.7 Sun Mar 25 01:46:30 CET 2007
56 - code cleanup.
57 - fix a memory overflow bug when indenting.
58 - pretty-printing now up to 15% faster.
59 - improve decoding speed of strings by
60 up to 50% by specialcasing short strings.
61 - further decoding speedups for strings using
62 lots of \u escapes.
63 - improve utf8 decoding speed for U+80 .. U+7FF.
64
650.5 Sat Mar 24 20:41:51 CET 2007
66 - added the UTF-16 encoding example hinted at in previous
67 versions.
68 - minor documentation fixes.
69 - fix a bug in and optimise canonicalising fastpath
70 (reported by Craig Manley).
71 - remove a subtest that breaks with bleadperl (reported
72 by Andreas König).
73
740.31 Sat Mar 24 02:14:34 CET 2007
75 - documentation updates.
76 - do some casting to hopefully fix Andreas' problem.
77 - nuke bogus json rpc stuff.
78
790.3 Fri Mar 23 19:33:21 CET 2007
4 - remove spurious Papp::Util reference (Andreas König). 80 - remove spurious PApp::Util reference (John McNamara).
81 - adapted lots of tests from other json modules
82 (idea by Chris Carline).
83 - documented mapping from json to perl and vice versa.
84 - improved the documentation by adding more examples.
85 - added short escaping forms, reducing the created
86 json texts a bit.
87 - added shrink flag.
88 - when flag methods are called without enable argument
89 they will by default enable their flag.
90 - considerably improved string encoding speed (at least
91 with gcc 4).
92 - added a test that covers lots of different characters.
93 - clarified some error messages.
94 - error messages now use correct character offset
95 with F_UTF8.
96 - improve the "no bytes" and "no warnings" hacks in
97 case the called functions do... stuff.
98 - croak when encoding to ascii and an out-of-range
99 (non-unicode) codepoint is encountered.

7 - the "could not sleep without debuggign release". 102 - the "could not sleep without debuggign release".
