Revision 1.59 by pcg, Fri Jun 3 05:09:17 2005 UTC

1TODO: enable bridging (compile-time option?)
2TODO: explore DTLS
1 3
42.0
5 - protocol version 0.1, compatible with older releases.
6 - implemented != for sockinfo. This fixes a bug where
7 gvpe sent packets to the old ip address of another host
8 even though it had received packets from it's new address.
9 This only cuases problems if you forget to -HUP your gvpe after
10 your ip address changed, which is *required*.

121.9 Tue Apr 19 06:21:50 CEST 2005
13 - protocol version 0.1, compatible with older releases.
14 - WARNING: this version checks the return value of if-up etc.
15 scripts and exits on failure.
16 - IMPORTANT: run if-up/node-up etc. scripts via /bin/sh.
17 - IMPORTANT: interface initialization (MAC, MTU) is now done
18 automatically in most configurations.
19 - options can now be specified on the gvpe command line, too.
20 - make some DNS transport values configurable and document them.
21 - improved OS specific information in gvpe.osdep(5).
22 - new tap device type "native/darwin", that supports the tap
23 driver available for darwin (thanks to matthew mead who tested
24 it out with me in a long session). tincd/darwin is still available.
25 - new device type "tincd/bsd", which is a newer version of the
26 *bsd-drivers taken from tinc.
27 - fixed a bug in relying on the order of global construction
28 when tcp transport was enabled. The fix makes it use no
29 cpu time unless it is in use, too.
30 - information about other nodes is now available to if-up etc. scripts.
31 - the value of the config variable if-up-data is passed to the if-up
32 etc. scripts.
33 - skip unparsable config lines with a warning instead of stopping
34 parsing and continuing with a certainly unusable config.
