203 - INCOMPATIBLE CHANGE: this version will always read ~/.Xdefaults,
204 earlier versions only read it if display-resources (usually from
205 .Xresources) are not set. This avoids the #1 FAQ ("why isn't my
206 resource used") and seems to be logical behaviour, too. .Xdefaults
207 resources have a lower priority than display-specific resources.
208 - add "kuake" perl extension that does a similar thing to the kuake
209 terminal emulator (see man urxtvperl).
210 - use less "correct" color scaling that is compatible with libX11 and
211 Xft (avoids off-by-one colors resulting in striped backgrounds).
212 - the "depth" resource is now respected.
213 - preset the searchable-scrollback pattern with "(?i)" to default search
214 to case-insensitivity. Will automatically be cleared when typing an

244 - use double-buffered drawing (xft fonts only). On many driver/hardware
245 combination this actually increases xft drawing speed, at the expense
246 of more network bandwidth and slight nausea on the side of the author.
247 - readline perl extension now requires shift-click instead of a normal
248 click, and eats the click.
249 - tabbed perl extension now supports -e.
250 - disabled graphics-exposures on the main drawing GC, report any
251 refresh bugs please.
252 - improve property handling for -pe tabbed: avoid unnecessary property
253 changes (for kde's benefit) at the expense of extra round-trips,
254 improve size hint setting.
255 - modified XIM according to a patch sent by Takano Akio that sets
256 the preedit rectangle for OverTheSpot, which helps some input methods

403 - setuid/setgid operation is now _encouraged_: security has been
404 improved by moving privileged operations into a separate process
405 and permanently dropping privileges within the terminal. This
406 makes it possible to remove security checks from the perl code
407 and gives a much safer feeling when urxvt needs to run with
408 special privileges.
409 - perl taint checking disabled, as urxvt no longer runs setuid/setgid
410 itself.
411 - new perl extension automove-background that can be used to get
412 the same effect as pseudo-transparency with any pixmap.
