51 - use double-buffered drawing (xft fonts only). On many driver/hardware
52 combination this actually increases xft drawing speed, at the expense
53 of more network bandwidth and slight nausea on the side of the author.
54 - readline perl extension now requires shift-click instead of a normal
55 click, and eats the click.
56 - tabbed perl extension now supports -e.
57 - disabled graphics-exposures on the main drawing GC, report any
58 refresh bugs please.
59 - improve property handling for -pe tabbed: avoid unnecessary property
60 changes (for kde's benefit) at the expense of extra round-trips,
61 improve size hint setting.
62 - modified XIM according to a patch sent by Takano Akio that sets
63 the preedit rectangle for OverTheSpot, which helps some input methods

206 - setuid/setgid operation is now _encouraged_: security has been
207 improved by moving privileged operations into a separate process
208 and permanently dropping privileges within the terminal. This
209 makes it possible to remove security checks from the perl code
210 and gives a much safer feeling when urxvt needs to run with
211 special privileges.
212 - perl taint checking disabled, as urxvt no longer runs setuid/setgid
213 itself.
214 - new perl extension automove-background that can be used to get
215 the same effect as pseudo-transparency with any pixmap.

282 not correctly updated on the tty device and were left as
283 world-readable and world-writable (likely in original rxvt,
284 too), and were not restored properly. Affected are only
285 systems where non-unix ptys were used (such as most BSDs, not
286 GNU/Linux). (found, patched and debugged by Ryan Beasley).
287 - meta8 support was forcefully enabled in most configurations.
288 restored configurability of this (useless) feature (reported

290 - optionally embed a perl interpreter, which can be used for more

396 - font names are now considered to be utf-8 encoded (xft apperently
397 uses this convention. X Core fonts might not, but it should be rare).

399 - rewrote the low-level xft drawing function ("xft backend" for the

401 chars mixed with fixed-width ones.
