87 - setuid/setgid operation is now _encouraged_: security has been
88 improved by moving privileged operations into a separate process
89 and permanently dropping privileges within the terminal. This
90 makes it possible to remove security checks from the perl code
91 and gives a much safer feeling when urxvt needs to run with
92 special privileges.
93 - perl taint checking disabled, as urxvt no longer runs setuid/setgid

96 the same effect as pseudo-transparency with any pixmap.

166 systems where non-unix ptys were used (such as most BSDs, not
167 GNU/Linux). (found, patched and debugged by Ryan Beasley).
