169 - setuid/setgid operation is now _encouraged_: security has been
170 improved by moving privileged operations into a separate process
171 and permanently dropping privileges within the terminal. This
172 makes it possible to remove security checks from the perl code
173 and gives a much safer feeling when urxvt needs to run with
174 special privileges.
175 - perl taint checking disabled, as urxvt no longer runs setuid/setgid

178 the same effect as pseudo-transparency with any pixmap.

245 not correctly updated on the tty device and were left as
246 world-readable and world-writable (likely in original rxvt,
247 too), and were not restored properly. Affected are only
248 systems where non-unix ptys were used (such as most BSDs, not
249 GNU/Linux). (found, patched and debugged by Ryan Beasley).
250 - meta8 support was forcefully enabled in most configurations.
251 restored configurability of this (useless) feature (reported
252 by Mikachu).
253 - optionally embed a perl interpreter, which can be used for more
254 intelligent/customized selection support, visual feedback,
