17 - setuid/setgid operation is now _encouraged_: security has been
18 improved by moving privileged operations into a separate process
19 and permanently dropping privileges within the terminal. This
20 makes it possible to remove security checks from the perl code
21 and gives a much safer feeling when urxvt needs to run with
22 special privileges.
23 - perl taint checking disabled, as urxvt no longer runs setuid/setgid

92 - SECURITY FIX: on systems using openpty, permissions were
93 not correctly updated on the tty device and were left as
94 world-readable and world-writable (likely in original rxvt,
95 too), and were not restored properly. Affected are only
96 systems where non-unix ptys were used (such as most BSDs, not
97 GNU/Linux). (found, patched and debugged by Ryan Beasley).
