48 - use double-buffered drawing (xft fonts only). On many driver/hardware
49 combination this actually increases xft drawing speed, at the expense
50 of more network bandwidth and slight nausea on the side of the author.
51 - readline perl extension now requires shift-click instead of a normal
52 click, and eats the click.
53 - tabbed perl extension now supports -e.
54 - disabled graphics-exposures on the main drawing GC, report any
55 refresh bugs please.
56 - improve property handling for -pe tabbed: avoid unnecessary property
57 changes (for kde's benefit) at the expense of extra round-trips,
58 improve size hint setting.
59 - modified XIM according to a patch sent by Takano Akio that sets
60 the preedit rectangle for OverTheSpot, which helps some input methods

203 - setuid/setgid operation is now _encouraged_: security has been
204 improved by moving privileged operations into a separate process
205 and permanently dropping privileges within the terminal. This
206 makes it possible to remove security checks from the perl code
207 and gives a much safer feeling when urxvt needs to run with
208 special privileges.
209 - perl taint checking disabled, as urxvt no longer runs setuid/setgid
210 itself.
211 - new perl extension automove-background that can be used to get
212 the same effect as pseudo-transparency with any pixmap.
213 - new perl extension example: perl/selection-pastebin, can be used to

279 not correctly updated on the tty device and were left as
280 world-readable and world-writable (likely in original rxvt,
281 too), and were not restored properly. Affected are only
282 systems where non-unix ptys were used (such as most BSDs, not
283 GNU/Linux). (found, patched and debugged by Ryan Beasley).
284 - meta8 support was forcefully enabled in most configurations.
285 restored configurability of this (useless) feature (reported
286 by Mikachu).
287 - optionally embed a perl interpreter, which can be used for more
288 intelligent/customized selection support, visual feedback,
289 menus, tabs etc. See the the urxvtperl manpage, the -pe option,

393 - font names are now considered to be utf-8 encoded (xft apperently
394 uses this convention. X Core fonts might not, but it should be rare).

396 - rewrote the low-level xft drawing function ("xft backend" for the

398 chars mixed with fixed-width ones.
